Trigger Fingers 2023
A visit to Trigger Fingers 2023 in Dallas.
(4/1/2023)
When we moved back to Dallas from Austin in 2021, Trigger Fingers 2022 was the event that rekindled our desire to seek out new-to-us murals, which led to our Month of Sundays project to find the public murals in Deep Ellum.
Trigger Fingers has rolled around again, and my intrepid companion and I couldn't wait to see the activity this year.
Since it was a beautiful Saturday, yard work had to be done in the morning, but we finally got going to the event mid-afternoon. When we arrived on South Trunk Avenue, we immediately saw lots of parked cars and folks milling around with two new walls opened up for work. This year, artists worked not just on the west side of the area, but also on the east and north walls of the warehouse building to the east, just south of the Sandlot.
We walked around to get oriented and get a feel for the work in progress.

One of the new walls on the east side was where in the last post, I showed the work "Horses" by FAILE - good thing because it's been covered with these new works this week.

A ton of work was going up on the original west wall.

Just a few of the works in progress!
It's exciting to see the activity - I can't wait to see the finished works on a sunny day, which I'll share in a future post with the artist attributions. In the meantime, you can check out our Instagram here and the Instagram Trigger Fingers feeds here and here.
