Austin, TX - Burnet Road
For a couple of years, my evening commute ran south on Burnet Road from 183 to west 38th Street before jogging over to Lamar. Here are some of my favorite neon signs on that drive from 2014 - 2018.
Genie Car Washes were dotted all over Austin. The Burnet sign had some issues - check out the better sign from the William Cannon location in the galleries.
Lala's is the little Christmas bar. The Frisco was the last holdout from the NightHawk restaurant group.
The Texas sign is from A*Town gift shop. The Lucy's sign was one of several in town at the time by Evan Voyles.
The window neon was from a tattoo shop just south of the Monkey's Nest.
These took us from 45th down to 38th.
